I’m Lucia Londoño Davalos, a Bolivian designer, illustrator, and educator based in Florida. I work across visual identity, illustration, participatory experiences, and research, usually following curiosity wherever it decides to take me.
I’m especially drawn to the tangible side of design: things we can hold, touch, print, build, and experience together. As more of our creative lives move onto screens, I find myself increasingly interested in what happens when we make room for the physical again. Not instead of digital, but alongside it. I like thinking about how the two can complement each other, and how we can keep making space for creativity, play, and a little bit of wonder.
I hold a BFA in Illustration with a Minor in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and completed my MFA in Design & Visual Communications at the University of Florida in May 2026. My research has been presented at LearnXDesign 2025 in Aveiro, Portugal, with an upcoming presentation at SECAC 2026 in Winston-Salem, NC. I’m also contributing a co-authored chapter to a forthcoming Routledge publication on co-design.
I call my process curious making, wonder driven: rooted in questioning, observation, experimentation, and admiration for the things we might otherwise overlook.
