Carnival Nesting Dolls
The Carnival is a religious and cultural festival Bolivia that originated in the city of Oruro. It has been celebrated since the 18th century. It started as an indigenous festival, but was later transformed to incorporate a Christian ritual around the Virgin of Candelaria. This merged the traditions of the spanish with the indigenous and thus becoming a holiday for fun and celebration in the country.
